The Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh visited forward posts on the LC to review the overall security scenario in the Kashmir Valley.

​The Army Commander accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander, Lt Gen KJS Dhillon visited formations along the Line of Control in forward areas of Kupwara District. He was briefed on development works, the counter infiltration grid and operational preparedness. The Army Commander was appreciative of the measures and Standard Operating Procedures instituted by the units and formations to meet the challenges posed by the inimical elements.During his interaction with the troops he spoke about their selfless service and applauded their motivation and high spirits in such difficult andchallenging climatic conditions.  He also applauded the Army’s efforts towards providing assistance to the Awam in suchrough weather conditions.
